Learn how to safely preserve upcoming summer bounty at home while enjoying the fresh flavors of home cooked food. University of Maryland Extension, Wicomico County is introducing three food preservation workshops focusing on canning, drying, fermentation, freezing, and pickling. The workshops comprise of hands-on experience featuring different preservation methods with a product to take home.
You can also buy the So Easy to Preserve book illustrating all scientific methods of preservation and wonderful recipes.
The workshop is for anyone over age 18. However, kids (12yrs. and above) can attend the workshop with adult supervision.
