Who Should Attend:

The Tomato Disease Workshop will be of interest to university researchers and students, tomato breeders, extension educators, crop consultants, tomato producers, processors, industry representatives, government regulators and anyone involved in or interested in the successful production of field or greenhouse tomatoes.

Representatives of vendors, suppliers, and crop protection and seed companies are encouraged to attend and should contact event organizers if they are interested in sponsoring the event, a session or activity.

Space for separate project meetings can be arranged immediately before or after the workshop. Please contact event organizers for assistance.

Location, Transportation & Lodging:

This year’s TDW will be held on the Eastern Shore of Virginia’s beautiful Chincoteague Island.

Lodging:

The Fairfield Inn Chincoteague has a block secured at the rate of $108 per night and reservations can be made by calling 757/336-0043. Please reference the Virginia Tech, Eastern Shore AREC Tomato Disease Workshop to ensure the group rate. The cut off for this rate is 9/23/2018.

Conference:

Sessions will be held in the Narrows Ballroom located insideRopewalk Chincoteague, a picturesque water front dining experience featuring a 180 degree view of the Chincoteague Bay. Ropewalk Chincoteague is next door to the Fairfield.

Call for Abstracts

Individuals who are interested in making an oral or poster presentation are encouraged to submit a title and brief description of their presentation to Steve Rideout (srideout@vt.edu).
